Two letters a day. #2togo

Two letters a day

He wrote to her.
One for mornings
One for nights.
Though a thousand miles away
He loved her twice each day
With the assurance of sunset
And the hope of a sunrise.

Journey To The Past

Let’s take a walk back,

Hand in hand on the hands of time
Or back-cycle on the wheels of time
To way before the mess
To when we started
Where you said ‘hello’
And I- ‘hi’

Let’s take a walk back,
Hand in hand on the hands of time
Or back-cycle on the wheels of time
To undo this mess
To when we’d end this
Where you’d say ‘hello’
And I- ‘goodbye’

Kisses here, Kisses there muuaaahhh!

This year, I actually promise to be more consistent with my posts- it’s my new year’s resolution. (Now every time I use that word, I can’t help but laugh because last year I heard about a girl whose name is Resolution, I kid you not! lol) so back to the consistency of my posts, I actually made plans and would try to follow through with them. So be ready for some AMAAAZIING POSTS this year.

Earlier today, after my lectures in school, I was walking down with a couple of friends when we passed by a group of women talking; A lecturer, I assume, and three students. The three students were Muslims

Writer’s Quote: The Mother

So earlier this morning, I was on a page on Instagram and I saw a lot of comments where people were advising this pregnant young girl to get an abortion… As much as I understand it’s difficult to have a baby at such a young age, I strongly believe that endangering your life and killing your baby is not the right path to go. Laws of the universe was at work; Have sex, make a baby.

I don’t encourage premarital sex, but if for some reason you get yourself involved in it, please!!!! Use protections.. Grow up and take  responsibilities. It would prevent a lot of stories that touch and stupid abortion advice. I’ve spoken with quite a number of people and getting an abortion turned out to be the most traumatizing events of their lives. Don’t let the devil use you; he’s nasty. He’d make you do something terrible and then forever make you feel guilty about doing it.. This is not my typical post but I felt led to share it.. Below is a link to a poem I happened to stumble upon today. It’s real and plain… Please do click on the link and read it.

Remember; your body is the Temple of the Most High; keep it Holy and protect it.

Happy Sunday y’all!

Holy, Holy,… UnHoly Thoughts

Good day to everyone. As believers, I believe we get so caught up in our desires to live the kind of life God expects us to live that we sometimes forget that it is God who works in, through and for us. Sometimes we are overwhelmed by the Holiness who is God that we try to only bring our good parts and thoughts before God in prayers. Now I’m not saying this is wrong but then I had an experience a few weeks back that sort of just changed my orientation about a couple of things.

So if you’ve been reading my other blog posts, you know that I’m a grace- chic. You know, saved by grace and completed

Holla holla!!!! Good day family. Did we sleep well? How is our day going? Wonderfully I hope.

Growing up as Christians or new converts, I’m sure we were taught a bit about how the sacrifice for the forgiveness of sins was done in the past. That is, before Christ. We have the basic knowledge that the high priest goes in once a year into the holy of holies with the blood of goats and sheep to make sacrifice for the forgiveness of sins. Why do you think this was done yearly? It’s simple. It’s because doing it just once was not enough to fully clear the sins of the people, considering the fact that they were sinning almost every time, year in, year out. And so this sacrifice was done consistently till Christ came.
When Jesus came, we understand that, his finished works on the cross brought about salvation to everybody and so we didn’t have to go back to the yearly practice of old. Today we are going to be talking about THE GIFTS OF SALVATION: ETERNAL REDEMPTION AND FORGIVENESS OF SINS.
So how was Jesus able to save us completely from that religious practice of old? Now we have to understand that the sacrifice of the forgiveness of sins that was done in the past is a type and shadow of the real deal which Jesus was supposed to do for us. Jesus didn’t come to just abolish or render that practice useless, he actually fulfilled it but in the spiritual, perfect way, higher than what was done in the past on earth. Let’s look into scriptures;
Just as the high priest who was the only one allowed to enter the holy of holies of the temple here on earth which is actually a copy of the temple in heaven, Jesus also went as a High Priest into the holy of holies which is the presence of God to make this sacrifice

Heb 9:24

24 For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us:KJV
The high priest entered with the blood of animals and gifts, but Jesus entered with His own blood which was pure, serving as both the High priest and the sacrifice

Heb 9:11-12

11 But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building;

12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.KJV
The purpose of the sacrifices done with the blood of animals in the old was for the purification of the flesh

Heb 9:13

13 For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh:KJV
The purpose of Jesus’s blood as the sacrifice was for the purification of our conscience- the consciosness of sin in us.

Heb 9:14

14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?KJV
The beautiful difference between both sacrifices is that, the first sacrifice was done yearly and still couldn’t purify us completely, Jesus’ sacrifice was done just once in place of all the yearly sacrifices that should’ve been done, and his purification was perfect!!!!!! Jesus did it once for all.

*[[Heb 10:10]] KJV* By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

*[[Heb 10:12]] KJV* But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;

And so in the process he obtained eternal redemption for us.

*[[Heb 9:12]] KJV* Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.

If the bible records it as eternal, it is eternal. It is forever. That means nothing can stand between you and your redemption back to God. Not even sin. That means your sins are forgiven ; past, present, and future. Jesus had made the sacrifice for our sins in just one sacrifice with his blood., and you have been redeemed. We are the redeemed.

Forgiveness of sins and redemption is one of the gifts we have attached to salvation. We have it already, as long as we are saved and in Christ, we have this

*[[Eph 1:7]] KJV* In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

*[[Col 1:14]] KJV* In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:

*[[1Jn 2:12]] KJV* I write unto you, little children, because your sins are forgiven you for his name’s sake.
Just like how salvation as a whole was given to us as a gift and we didn’t have to work for it, so also are the gifts attached to salvation such as forgiveness of sins and redemption. We don’t work to get it, we already have it as recorded in the scriptures.

This is just an abridged version of the teaching something like a crash course *lol but I believe we get the gist. If I’m led, I might treat each of them separately again. But for now this is it. If we have Any questions whatsoever, put them in the comment boxes below and we’d answer them together.

Father we pray that you continue to teach us from your word, through your holy spirit that we might know the things that are freely given us in Christ Jesus. Amen

Don’t forget to follow via mail, like, share and also remember to write your questions in the boxes below. Have a lovely day.

Love, Pearl.
