Good evening peeps!!!!

As believers, I’m sure we must have heard about the story of the infamous twins in the bible; Jacob and Esau and how one of them was a thief and the other’s worth was a meal of bread and pottage. Growing up, I always wondered what effect the sold birthright had on Esau that was so bad that he could never recover from it. Recently, I was just going through the story of Israel from His grandfather Abraham and I noticed something; Continue reading “GOD OF ABRAHAM, ISAAC AND BIRTHRIGHT”

Invincibly Visible

Go to the top of a cliff

Pick up a stone, outstretched arms

Release the stone.

Without permission from you,

The stone heads towards the ground

A greater force permits it.
Oh ye wise!

Look at the force,

What color is it? Red or blue?

How tall is it? 14ft or 4″

Oh, you can’t see it? Nor describe it?

But you know it exists.
Gravity exists but you don’t see it

Yet you believe it

You don’t see God physically

So you don’t believe He is

You’re wise in your eyes

Foolish in your thoughts
The stone didn’t need your permission

To obey the law of gravity

So is your opinion useless

To prove the God almighty

There’s a greater force to reckon with

We obey the law of the Spirit

We welcome you to Spouses!!!… Sorry, Service..

Hey peeps, it’s amazing how this is the third time I’m posting something today.. lol..
I decided to view my blog as my amebo (gossip) partner… So I’m in the car, on my way to church right now and i just heard a program invitation played on radio… After the program was introduced and invitations given, the next thing I heard was “come and you stand an opportunity of meeting your prospective spouses…”.. Uuhhm what??? Seriously??

I refuse to believe that the church in my part of the world would choose meeting prospective spouses over a believers meeting to share the word. It’s unfortunate that meeting a spouse in a believers meeting has to be used as a tool to lure believers to come to church. I don’t know what vexes me more;
The fact that believers in my side of the world are so marriage pressured that it would actuality work as a tool to get them to do almost anything, or
The fact that church organizations chose to take advantage of the pressure to lure ignorant believers to their meetings..
This is quite amusing but not really funny.. Most times I wonder how this particular generation of believers are going to cope when real issues of life besides marriage sets in.. After they get their spouses, does that mean they would no longer attend believers meetings? I wonder.

Good evening peeps!!! this is something I’ve been pondering on for a while and I’d quickly share it here..

I picked up my pen and scribbled some things onto the jotting pad I use for my histology practical (I’m a medical laboratory scientist in the making by the way) and I let my mind ruminate over what my lecturer was talking about. I knew I was drifting away from the lecture but the events going on in my mind were too interesting to sacrifice. I let myself get involved and just enjoy the beauty of the network that is man. So far in class, we had studied quite a number of the systems in the body and it’s so amazing to realize that even though each system exists

Good evening family…how did our day go? I’ve come to notice that I really enjoy writing DailyPearls in the evening. I feel I’m calmer and more collected because I would have done majority of my chores; so I’m indirectly apologizing for the late posts (I’ve had a couple of friends ask me about this). So we have been treating a Topic for a while tagged SALVATION and we’ve had about five installments on it. Today we are going to be talking briefly about JUSTIFICATION ET RIGHTEOUSNESS and I would be linking you to a past dailypearls post at the end of this post on FORGIVENESS OF SINS AND REDEMPTION. You can read it up as it’s one of the free gifts that comes with the package of Salvation that we have received. Straight to it;

Good evening family.. I believe our day went well. Mine was pretty eventful and my body feels a bit tired. On today’s installment on DailyPearls, we are going to be talking about Christ’s SACRIFICE AND EXCHANGE. On previous posts on our SALVATION series, we were able to talk about stuff from creation up until Jesus’ life. And we were able to establish that Jesus as a man lived a perfect life.

The first Adam who represented humanity in the beginning fell and through him, sin and death reigned through humanity. That’s why even a baby that is born today is born in sin, because it was the nature that was passed unto us and not just its actions.

Ps 51:5

5 Surely I was sinful at birth,

sinful from the time my mother conceived me. NIV

In other to ‘undo what the first man; first Adam did; The second man; last Adam had to do something to counter the effect of what the first Adam did. So if the effect of what the first Adam did was sin and Death, the effect of what the last Adam would do would have to counter that which in turn brings life and righteousness. The bible records that Jesus is the Second Man and Last Adam.

1 Cor 15:45-46

45 So it is written: “The first man Adam became a living being” e; the last Adam, a life-giving spirit. NIV

1 Cor 15:21-23

21 For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man. 22 For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive.NIV

All these were going to happen in Christ but remember that the bible records that the wages of sin is death and no sin would go unpunished? Note that when we talked about THE ERA OF LAW, we explained that we were all cursed under the law because cursed is everyone who could not fulfill the law and we couldn’t because of the nature of sin in us then. God is Just and legal procedures must be done. He would never lower His standards. So before this new covenant, deal with the last Adam was going to happen, the requirements for the old covenant must be met. In our previous post, A LIFE OF PERFECTION, we see that God became flesh in Jesus and fulfilled the law that was required of us. So here’s Jesus as a man, perfect; and the rest of the world, sinners and imperfect. What happened was this, there was an exchange. Because he is God’s definition of righteousness as He’s God himself, he exchanged that righteousness with us and took on the nature of sin that we had on Him on that cross. But this exchange wasn’t going to be complete until He suffered the punishment that came with that nature on behalf of the world. Starting from the first Adam’s punishment to the punishment of every other person in the world, He took all upon Himself. First He suffered the worst part of our punishment; a disconnection from God because He didn’t become a sinner on that cross, He became SIN itself.

2 Cor 5:21

21 God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. NIV

The very nature of sin. His nature was changed on that cross. Remember we stated in our last post that He is the very nature of God? That nature changed on that cross and God could not behold Him and God smote Him all for us.

Isa 53:4-5

4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.

5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.KJV

The only person that can take in God’s wrath is God Himself and so on that cross, Jesus took in the totality of God’s wrath on Him on our behalf. Trust me, the pain from the nails that were driven into Jesus’ body is nothing compared to the wrath of God that Jesus took in. In the process, He handled that curse that came with our inability to fulfill the law by hanging on that tree. Look at this

Gal 3:10-14

10 All who rely on observing the law are under a curse, for it is written: “Cursed is everyone who does not continue to do everything written in the Book of the Law.”   11 Clearly no one is justified before God by the law, because, “The righteous will live by faith.”  12 The law is not based on faith; on the contrary, “The man who does these things will live by them.”   13 Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree.” NIV

So Christ first fulfilled the law on our behalf, was the righteousness of God, then he exchanged this righteousness for our sin nature and took in the punishment that was meant to be ours as a result of that nature. Isn’t that amazing? What other love can be greater than this?

*[[Joh 15:13]] KJV* Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

*[[Joh 15:14]] KJV* Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.

How can you not love God after this? I mean he went through all these trouble just to reconcile us back to Him, to have a relationship with us, to make us Righteous in Him and to give us eternal life all in Him.

Father, help us to grow in the Knowledge of Your Love so that we can walk in the reality that you love us so very much. Amen.

Happy Tuesday peeps!!! I believe our day is going well. We started a series tagged SALVATION recently and you can get previous installments hereherehere and here. In today’s installment in the SALVATION series, we are going to be talking about Jesus’ perfect life on earth. Uhmm, I assume we all know the story of Jesus’ birth; born by the virgin, Mary. If you don’t know the story, you can just take out time to read about it in the first two chapters in the book of Luke. Different prophesies came forth before Jesus’ birth as recorded in the scriptures. This is one very specific one;

Isa 7:14

14 Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel. NIV

Immanuel simply Continue reading “DailyPearls 27/6/17: SALVATION: A LIFE OF PERFECTION”
