Good day peeps. I believe we’ve had an amazing Sunday so far. My weekend has been stressful and busy generally which explains why this post is coming so late. We are on a series titled SALVATION and we talked about SALVATION: LIFE IN EDEN. and SALVATION: THE FALL OF MAN in the last two posts. Today’s post is going to be really short. We are going to be talking about GOD’S PLAN FOR REDEMPTION. Uhmmn let’s look at when God talked about it after the fall.
15 And I will put enmity
between you and the woman,
and between your offspring and hers;
he will crush your head,
and you will strike his heel.”
We see here that God said this when he was he was giving out punishments for the acts at the fall. Here he was talking to the serpent i.e satan and judgment was served. He wasn’t just talking about the child of Eve literally, He was talking into the future about Jesus’ coming to be precise. There was going to be a contention between Jesus and Satan; satan was going to hurt him but Jesus was going to crush him forever. Now we should know that this wasn’t a spur of the moment decision by God. God didn’t go “Woah! My work has been affected, what to do? What to do? You know what? I’m going to have a plan B to redeem mankind”. No he didn’t do that. Right from the creation of the world, he knew what would happen and the sacrifice needed to keep mankind in Him and that’s why the bible records this;
8 All inhabitants of the earth will worship the beast — all whose names have not been written in the book of life belonging to the Lamb that was slain from the creation of the world. NIV
Jesus; The Lamb, word who was with God from the beginning and who is also God as recorded by John
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. NIV
So from the creation of the world, God had already sacrificed himself, through Jesus as the requirement to keep mankind in himself and that’s what Jesus explained when He said,
6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. NIV
So the plan to keep man in God wasn’t a sudden one and had been completed even before man was formed. The fall didn’t surprise God. He’s omniscient and He knew it was going to happen. God loves mankind so much that He already had plans to redeem us through Christ so even after man fell, there was still hope.
See, I told you it wasn’t going to be a long one. So join me tomorrow on the next installment in this series and remain blessed.
Father help us to continue to grow in the knowledge of You and Your will. Amen.
